My brother MFC 9440CN printer said something like Yellow toner end of life.<\/p>\n
I knew these high capacity toners should not be out of life. It is just like the car maintenance indicator.<\/p>\n
But my printer wouldn\u2019t print!<\/p>\n
So I found this to reset it \u2014 worked like a charm.<\/p>\n
With power on, open the toner access main door. You will get a \u201cCover is Open\u201d message on the LCD.
\nPress the \u201cClear\/Back\u201d button and you will be taken to the toner \u201cReset Menu\u201d
\nYou can then scroll through the reset options for the printer\u2019s toner cartridges:
\nB.TNR-S \u2013 Black toner small cartridge (TN-110)
\nB.TNR-H \u2013 Black toner high-capacity cartridge (TN-115)
\nC.TNR-S \u2013 Cyan toner small cartridge (TN-110)
\nC.TNR-H \u2013 Cyan toner high-capacity cartridge (TN-115)
\nM.TNR-S \u2013 Magenta toner small cartridge (TN-110)
\nM.TNR-H \u2013 Magenta toner high-capacity cartridge (TN-115)
\nY.TNR-S \u2013 Yellow toner small cartridge (TN-110)
\nY.TNR-H \u2013 Yellow toner high-capacity cartridge (TN-115)
\nSelect the cartridge size you have and the colour you want to reset, and press OK. Since I had small cartridges, I used the S options for all three colours.
\nEach cartridge must be reset individually. Press \u201c1\u2033 to reset.
\nPress \u201cClear\/Back\u201d to get out of the menu, then close the door.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s possible to reset the values for other consumables on the printer as well. Hold down both 3 and 9 at the same time, and you\u2019ll get a menu to reset:

\nPF Kit 1
